A fully gutted once Irish bar converted into a plant based Mexican restaurant, this client did not skip out on any details.  Like their flag ship in the LES, this location heavily used custom mosaic tile patterns combined with antique wallpaper, and pine cladding for the ceiling.  Custom wood built in seating, custom lighting and a zinc bar top completed the owner’s vision.  An in-line kitchen exhaust system and newly installed HVAC were the necessary items to make this once dive a fully operable restaurant.  Not to let any inch go unused the basement was converted as an extension of the restaurant.  Keeping the design theme but using copper to wrap the door and bar as well as cast in place concrete benching and a red oak slatted ceiling with client specified decorative plaster walls.
